Instagram Stories: Bringing Brands Closer To Customers
The release of Instagram Stories was a major hit in 2016. People immediately started using it to show what they were doing and how their day went, and they weren’t the only ones to use this feature.
Companies saw the potential that Instagram Stories has and started using it as a means of promoting their brands. Behind the scenes footage, new products sneak peek, or announcement of an upcoming service are now available to the 300 million active daily users of this feature.
Let’s take a look at a couple of examples.
Australian teeth whitening company HiSmile used Instagram Stories campaign with professional mixed martial artist and boxer Conor McGregor to connect with young men and the results were mind-blowing: five times return on ad spending, 90% increase in male customers, and 14 million 18-24 year-olds reached.
Multinational sports apparel and accessories company Adidas built a tap-to-reveal Instagram Story which included over 120 images and reached the maximum upload limit of Instagram Stories. Two Stories resulted in 3 million opens, and 30,000 viewers swiped up to be taken to the official Adidas website.
